David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Prolific children's author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the firm said: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding reports of inappropriate behaviour involving women.
The firm declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
To date, he has released more than 40 books combined, encompassing a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
